1. Upgrade to any make of 2-button mouse with scroll for Macs. The Mighty Mouse looks sexy, but I'll just wait until I buy another Mac (maybe a used iMac G5 in 2010).

2. Upgrade to using legitimate, freely available software on my home computers. I feel better about it and it's great to learn something that can be beneficial to us all. Becoming a Linux and open-source representative is a good first step to contributing to this community-minded phenomena.

3. I concur with using vinyl, film and drinking tea.

Adrian, hope you don't mind I comment...

Upgrade: Logitech mouse. 6-buttons and scroll wheel. Their mice work with Macs and PCs. You don't even need to install their software to use all the buttons on a Mac. I'm using their MX 310 at home and MX 300 at work. I choose Logitech because I like all the other products they make (bluetooth mobile headsets), which is more than I can say for Microsoft, who brings me PowerPoint and Publisher headaches in print design.

Downgrade: I would have to see less caffeine, too. Now my cold brew coffee in the afternoon, that I use to make iced lattés, is decaf. I try to drink less of the pure gold gourmet hot stuff in the morning, unless I'm really tired.
