Adrian (Ade) Hanft
Senior Product Designer
Product designer for technical, data-dense products. Led UX for OpenText's application observability product (OpenTelemetry, ML anomaly detection, AI), designed ML-assisted tools at Nutrien, and now lead design-system and AI-tooling work on Oracle's NetSuite.com. I prototype in code and design AI features around trust and correction.
Experience
Oracle (5/2026 – Present)
Lead UX Designer (Contract), NetSuite.com
Leading the redesign of NetSuite.com, Oracle's 1,600+ page cloud ERP site.
- Defining the design system (tokens, light/dark themes, Figma variables, components) shared by design and engineering.
- Reworking information architecture through coded HTML prototypes of the homepage, product pages and live navigation.
- Building AI-assisted design tools: screenshot and animation builders, a sitemap generator and Figma/Codex plugins.
OpenText (11/2022 – 4/2026)
Senior UX Designer, Observability
Lead UX designer for a new application observability product built on OpenTelemetry, from whiteboards to launch.
- Set the product's north-star goal (anyone can understand system health within two clicks) and built a new SRE persona from interviews with about a dozen site reliability engineers.
- Iterated Figma prototypes with customer design partners and produced the high-fidelity blueprints product and engineering built from, including service and dependency views the team built in D3.
- Ran a competitive analysis of Datadog, New Relic and Dynatrace navigation and created a navigation taxonomy for the product's sprawling feature set.
- Ran 20 hour-long, one-on-one usability sessions with customers and prospects at OpenText World's Innovation Lab (2023–2025); one study showed every participant failed to find a critical screen.
Nutrien Ag Solutions (3/2019 – 10/2022)
UX Manager / Senior UX Designer, Digital Commerce
Joined as a contractor, hired full-time as Senior UX Designer, then promoted to UX Manager. Designed the Employee Experience Hub used by Nutrien's 20,000+ crop consultants.
- Helped launch and design the e-commerce platform, which generated more than $5 billion in sales in its first three years.
- Helped grow the design team from 7 to 15 and mentored its designers; set up critiques, retros and research habits; and helped make customer obsession a Nutrien core value.
- Led design of Max, an experimental ML product that surfaced lost sales; concept-tested it and made its suggestions easy to correct or dismiss.
- Designed the crop consultant dashboard from a study with 24 participants (hands-on card sort plus remote click test); the shipped dashboard used the widgets that earned their place.
- Rode along with crop consultants in the field and ran UX workshops with John Deere, BASF and Syngenta.
Runcoach (5/2018 – 2/2019)
Lead Product Designer
Sole designer for web, iOS and Android: research, prototyping, product design and rebrand.
- Designed the move from a paywalled app to freemium, and brought the human coach's voice into onboarding, email, achievements and support to make the paid tier worth it.
- Studied 20+ competitor training calendars and redesigned the calendar around Today, Week and Month views instead of a conventional grid.
Athlinks (12/2016 – 5/2018)
UX Designer
- Designed the web and native apps where athletes find and claim their races among millions of results, and built a live results kiosk for the Miami Marathon.
TrainingPeaks (7/2014 – 12/2016)
Interaction Designer / Product Owner
- Product owner and UX lead for the Coach Marketplace, a coach directory with profiles for 1,500+ coaches, search, hiring and an API.
- Designed and built #ThanksCoach in about a month: athletes created 3,000 images in the first two weeks and 5,000+ in total, feeding the Coach Match funnel.
